Proactive outreach

Once a referral is submitted, our enrollment team will reach out the same day to answer questions and talk through next steps with your patient.

Intake visit

Our prescribing clinician will spend about an hour discussing treatment, history, and goals and if eligible, provide a same-day prescription.

Supportive induction

If needed, our clinical team will guide the patient through buprenorphine induction, providing comfort meds and check-in calls.

Weekly visits

The patient and prescribing clinician will meet weekly to monitor symptoms, progress, and adjust medications if needed.

Long term care

Once stable, the patient will meet with their clinical team monthly and have quarterly visits with their prescribing clinician.

Who is eligible for treatment in Ophelia?

People regularly using opioids who want to control or stop their use as well as those who don't need a higher level of care for acute medical or psychiatric issues.

What insurances does Ophelia take?

We are in network with a number of insurance plans, which you can see on our website.

What medications does Ophelia prescribe?

At the moment, Ophelia clinicians primarily prescribe Suboxone or the generic buprenorphine + naloxone combination. We can also prescribe medication for symptoms related to withdrawal during induction, such as nausea or trouble sleeping, and medication for depressive, anxiety, and insomnia disorders. How does the patient attend their visits?

At Ophelia, all of our visits are done through Zoom. Zoom is a free to download video chat app that you can get on your smartphone, computer, or tablet.
